Join Our Team This Summer: Public Works – Maintenance Crew
Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real impact in your community? We're looking for motivated, energetic individuals to join our Public Works team this summer! If you love working outdoors, operating equipment, and taking pride in keeping your town looking its best, this is the job for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on work: Operate a variety of equipment, from mowers to water pumps, weed eaters, and even the town's pickup truck with trailer for hauling water tanks and mowers.
- Community upkeep: Keep the Town and Town Cemetery beautiful by maintaining grounds, trimming foliage, and ensuring everything stays in top shape.
- Roadwork repair: Help with small road repairs—filling potholes, painting lines, and more to keep everything running smoothly.
- Weather-ready: Embrace all kinds of weather and work outdoors in a team that thrives in any condition.
- Safety first: Participate in basic safety training to keep you and your team safe while getting the job done right.
What You’ll Bring:
- Self-motivated: You take pride in your work and can manage tasks on your own with minimal supervision.
- Equipment experience: Comfort with operating mowers and other equipment will keep you on track.
- Great communication skills: Strong customer service and the ability to connect with the community is key.
- Multi-tasking pro: You can juggle different jobs and prioritize like a champion.
- Class 5 Alberta Driver's License: A clean driver’s abstract is required to get behind the wheel.
- Physical strength: You’re not afraid to lift and use hand tools as needed.
- First Aid certification: If you have it, great—but if not, we’ll provide the training!
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, when necessary.
