Licensing Your Pet is the Law
Town of Viking By-law 2019-674 requires that all cats and dogs be licenced. Failure to licence or renew your pet's licence could result in a $100 penalty.
Benefits of a Pet Licence
- Lost pets can be returned home. If someone finds your pet roaming the neighbourhood, the licence tag will help ensure your pet makes it back home.
- Contact in case of Emergency. Your licence will help veterinarians contact you should your pet become injured and in need of life saving medical treatment.
