Breakfast Meeting with Town Council and Administration
Dear Town of Viking Business Owner/Operators,
The Council of the Town of Viking have identified a need to promote and attract business and industry to the Town. The plan is to foster this environment by offering municipal tax incentives to new and existing businesses. The proposed incentives will offer substantial savings of municipal taxes for up to 3 years on new construction and renovation of existing businesses. By offering these incentives the Town of Viking hope to attract new business and expand the tax base to offer a lower overall tax rate.
The Town Council will be presenting these proposed incentives to the business community at a Breakfast Meeting on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in the Viking Carena Lobby from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m.
Your attendance and feedback to the Town Council and Administration is important. As a business owner in the Town of Viking, it is important for you to attend and learn about the municipal tax incentives your business can benefit from. Any business may be eligible to receive the incentive, if the eligibility criteria are met. The goal is to give Viking a competitive edge.
Presenters at our Breakfast Meeting will include Mayor Jason Ritchie, Town of Viking and Cathy Goulet with Battle River Alliance for Economic Development (BRAED). Following these presenters will be an opportunity for discussion and feedback with Town Council and Administration.
We welcome you to attend the Breakfast Meeting; the cost for breakfast is $10.00 per person (including GST). No tickets will be sold at the door, please RSVP and pick up your ticket at the Town of Viking Administration Office located at the Viking Carena Complex during regular business hours until Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 4 p.m.
If you have any questions about this exciting opportunity for the Town of Viking please contact me directly, I would be pleased to discuss with you.
