Fire Advisory Effective June 29, 2021 8 am

29 June, 2021 - 8AM

The Beaver County Region, including all towns, villages and hamlets therein, are now under a fire advisory.

There is an increased risk of wildfire due to dry conditions and prolonged high temperatures.

Fire permits are still being issued by Beaver Emergency Services for open burning. Citizens can continue to burn if they have a fire permit or use certified heating and cooking appliances such as charcoal, propane, or natural gas barbecues. Campfires with screens and approved burn barrels are still allowed without permit.

Fireworks are only permitted with an approved permit and providing extreme caution is used in accordance with all laws and conditions.

Fire officials will continue to monitor conditions, and a fire restriction or ban could be issued without further notice. We will update the public of any change at www.besc.ca and albertafirebans.ca.
